Objectives are a core element in Unfortunate Spacemen. It might sound unfortunate, but the main task is to survive and not to get killed. The Monster, on the other hand, should sabotage the escape of the Spacemen.

1.6 and Beyond Tasks

In 1.6, the Task Update was released. With it, came several more tasks along with the base 4, and changes to the base 4. The tasks are now not the same for every round. The only task that is guaranteed to be in every round is to Clear the Landing Pad of Debris.

Task changes from 1.5

There are a few changes from the 1.5 tasks that should be noted.

Clearing the Landing Pad of Debris: This task has changed into a multi-part task. After each landing pad is cleared, a trash bag will spawn on the pad. That trash bag must be taken to a Trash Compactor, which there is one on each map. After placing the trash in the trash compactor (which is quite dangerous, and easier to kill then through an Emergency Mass Ejector, as you have to completely step inside of the compactor in order to place the trash inside. Once the trash is compacted, each bag... or body... will spawn a trash cube, which then will need to be taken to an Emergency Mass Ejector to complete the task.

Turning on Transmitters: This task has mainly only gotten a model change, as there is a new transmitter model, which is much smaller and impossible to hide behind. They are also supposed to be turned on in a specific order, according to the Spacemen HUD, however it doesn't seem to be working.

Sealing the Research Samples and Launching Them: These 2 tasks have been combined into one task.

New tasks in 1.6

Moving out

Spacemen must open and clean out lockers around the map when opened they make a vent noise and while being cleared you are stuck in a animation for several seconds giving the monster or traitor a chance to strike

Save every scrap

Plates of food spawn around the map and must be eaten they can spawn rotten or be spoiled by the traitor eating spoiled food deals 5 damage a blocks healing for 20 seconds every food scrap gives 25 points

Intergalactic press conference

The intergalactic press conference can be seen on the map and there is only one per map the player must stand on the stage and use positive emotes until 10000 worlds have tuned in the number of worlds will slowly fall so its a good idea to not leave it for to long

Data protection plan

Spacemen must shoot and destroy each sever in every rack fire and explosives deal much more damage to severs, traitor can hack then to give all remaining severs on the rack a shield giving them a significant health boost ghosts can shoot them out to aid the spacemen each server gives 15 points

Snail mail

Mail bags will spawn throughout the map and must be ejected via EME while held you move very slow but crouching make you slightly faster gives 150 points each

Insurance estimate

A facility scanner must be brought throughout the map it will only scan in areas it has not scanned after it has scanned 30 times you can eject it via EME to finish the task

Pre 1.6 Tasks

As the company will always fail to inform you of what you need to accomplish in order to leave the station alive (Paying you is more expensive than insurance payouts. Who knew?), you'll need to complete 4 basic tasks to escape;

1. Find the research samples (green eggs in a tube. No ham, just eggs.) and seal them. (Ignore the ticking sound, they are completely harmless.)

2. Stuff the research items into an E.M.E (Emergency Mass Ejection) (along with anyone else standing around. You're saving them from having to wait for the shuttle.)

3. Clean the launch pads. The janitor group left earlier (or he is too lazy to do his job, damned rapscallion!) Like rats on a sinking ship. So the job falls on the spacemen to clean up. (Who leaves pallets on a launch pad? The flamethrower works wonders for this job by the way, or if you are a janitor do your damned job and walk over the trash!)

4. Activate the communication array's and let them slowly but surely establish an uplink. The first person to do the thing to get them going gets points! So shoot, bludgeon, light on fire, or explode anyone trying to get those points before you do! Remember, the company always rewards people with high scores. Everyone else is a worthless slacker!
