Perks are various traits that any Spacemen and Monster can fit themselves with that enable different styles of play or other conveniences.

For all Spacemen, they have four perks and they pick one from each group:
- Profession: Perks that can determine a Spaceman's playstyle.
- Utility: Perks that offer various convenience options for survivability or travel.
- Defense: Perks designed to counter world hazards and/or damage types when put in dangerous situations.
- Security: Perks that provide extra safety either in direct combat or for getting away and staying undetected.
Monsters have these perks as well as additional benefits that Spacemen don't have access to. Their benefits are marked in orange on the loadout screen.
Monsters also have an additional four slots for exclusive Monster perks that are also split into four groups:
- Mutation: Perks that determine the playstyle of the Monster.
- Aggression: Perks that enhance the Monster's offensive capabilities.
- Survival: Perks that improve the Monster's survivability.
- Stealth: Perks that can help the Monster blend in more with other Spacemen or divert attention off themselves.
Traitors have an extra slot for exclusive "Traitor" perks that can assist themselves and the Monster during the match.
